This year 200 of us and our friends walked or ran in the Buddy's Cancer Race. The reason that I post this is because Emma lost a precious friend this summer to cancer and we try daily to never forget to live each day to its fullest. We have to remember what Maddie taught us in her five short years here. This has become a big effort in my life to help Chrissy, Maddie's mom, to raise money to fight childhood cancer. They have created a fund in her honor called the Butterfly Fund and you will see more from that in the future. Emma is wearing our team shirts that say "Maddie continues to inspire me everyday." The Maddie team was the largest team in the race.

Congratulations on your race and the amazing turn-out to support Maddie's team. She is even an inspiration to those that never knew her. What a wonderful way to honor her memory. Way to go Emma! Have a wonderful holiday season!
